We now offer the facility to book your appointments or order your repeat prescriptions. You can also view your Summary Care Record online.
To use this method you will need to register with NHS APP or Patient Access to create your own unique username and password.

Obtain A Repeat Prescription?
Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor's discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment. Requests for prescriptions can be made by telephone or by calling at the surgery and selection option 2 from 9.00am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday. We are unable to take orders or issue repeat prescriptions at weekends, public holidays or out of normal surgery hours. Please allow 48 hours before collection and make allowances for weekends and public holidays.
Important Notice For All Patients
Effective from 11th January 2018 Al Shafa Medical Center will no longer be accepting repeat prescription requests from any pharmacies on behalf of patients.
All patients can now order repeats in following ways:
- By calling Prescription ordering department on 0121 468 0529.
- Patient can also email: sdsmyhealthcare.pod@nhs.net include name, date of birth, surgery name and the items thye need ordering.
- Online prescription request using NHS APP or patient access.

Please note that this is not applicable to housebound and vulnerable patients. These patients can continue to order in the same manner via their pharmacies.
Medication Reviews
From time to time, you will be advised to attend for a Medication Review, blood and/or urine tests, blood pressure checks etc so that we can continue to monitor your condition. If you do not attend for these, further prescriptions may not be issued.
