Our practice manager has overall responsibility for running the day-to-day management of the practice, services and staff.
Administration Assistants/Secretaries

Manages chronic disease recall letters and referrals to hospital/secondary care.
Miss Haleema Tariq
Deals with scanning/attaching of hospital correspondence and results, and is responsible for incoming/outgoing medical records to Birmingham Health Authority. Haleema is also the community cardiology secretary.
Receptionists

Our reception staff are your link with the rest of the practice. They are there to help you and may need to ask you some medical details to help the rest of the team to work effectively. They work under the doctor's instruction. The clearer you can explain your problem the better we can help. Any information you give our team remains confidential. Our receptionists are trained to do a difficult job and they try very hard to do it well. Please help them to help you.

As we are a paper light General Practice, to ensure that all your electronic records are up to date we have appointed a staff member to do this.
Practice Nurses

The practice nurses have long term experience of general practice and help the doctors carry out day-to-day surgery. They run various clinics independently including diabetes, hypertension, immunisation, cervical cytology, family planning, asthma and heart disease. These clinics are run by appointment; if you think you need to see the practice nurse please make an appointment. They are quite happy to discuss any issues with you. Whatever you discuss with them will be confidential.
Health Care Assistant

The health care assistant supports the GPs and practice nurses and offers services including new patient health checks, weight checks and phlebotomy (taking blood).
Midwives
Every Thursday 9.00am till 1.00pm we have midwives from City Hospital seeing pregnant ladies at the General Practice. They arrange their own appointments by ringing the patients.
